The purple category today will test you. It will hurt, possibly. But here are the hints before you lose your streak.
Check the bot after playing if you want stats. You can see win rates, streaks, even that elusive perfect score. It lets you nerd out over data you probably shouldn’t care about that much.
Hints
Here is how to sort this mess. From easiest to hardest.
Getting back to you. (Yellow)
Don’t step out of line (or rather, follow them). (Green)
Movin’ right along, on a belt. (Blue)
Sounds like… a person’s name? (Purple)
The Answers
Yellow: Reach back out
You need to get in touch again. The words are check in, follow up, touch base, reconnect. Simple enough. Usually.
Green: The way things are done
Social friction. Unwritten rule, convention, custom, social norm. Things that keep society from imploding, mostly.
Blue: Places with conveyor belts
Nowhere is quite so soulless as a conveyor belt. Well, except maybe another conveyor belt. Assembly line, baggage claim, checkout lane, revolving sushi bar. Pick one.
Purple: Starting with name homophones
This is the kicker. It requires lateral thinking and a bit of pun love.
- Carry-on starts with a “Carrie”.
- El Niño sounds like “Elle”.
- Loosey-goosey? That’s “Lucy”.
- Tailor-made. Who are you making clothes for? Taylor.
Did you catch that Taylor Swift reference in your head? I did. Or maybe just Taylor Lautner. Or Taylor. The concept remains the same. Sound-alikes.
Go solve it. Or don’t. I’ll still have the answers tomorrow.
